Become a Senner yourself in the show dairy of Algund. 2x weekly starting April 2023 to November

With the help of the professional staff up to 16 people can create their own cheese and take it home with them. The milk is of the highest quality, which is then also reflecting in the quality of the produced cheese.

Cellar guidance and tastings in the new winery of Merano - season 2023

In April the guided tours in the beer brewery of Forst begin for the season of 2023

Guided tours in the most beautiful brewery of Italy. It has existed for 154 years and is the oldest brewery in South Tyrol. Telephonic reservation required: 0034-0473-260111. Dates of the tours 2023 periodically (Wednesdays) to the end of October. (more information in the house)

Balance - healthy and balanced movement and breathing technique when hiking. Periodically from April to June 2023

This initiative is all about relaxation, healthy delights and the positive effects of exercise, with experts leading Balance initiatives and other events. Relax on the mountains, clear your head and get some fresh ideas. Feel the body and let it rest in itself. Herbal excursions and hiking tours to places of power bring yourself back into balance. 

Periodical apple and wine educational trails from the beginning of April 2023 to the end of the season

You will go on a unique guided tour on the new wine and theme trail in Meran and surroundings. There are pointed out ancient vine stocks and interesting topics regarding the viticulture. At the end of the tour there is a cellar visit including wine tasting.

Also around the theme of the apple you get a guided tour through different fruit fields. Young fruit farmers inform about apple cultivation, care measures and marketing. Finally, you visit the cooperative fruit society of Algund. (more information in the house)

Bike Trends on 29th of April 2023

On this sunday, everything in the village of Algund is about the bike holiday, electric bikes, mountain bikes and cycling in general. 

At the ,,Bike Trends Algund" various exhibitors will present their products to the world of bikes: mountain bikes, bikes for kids, electric bikes, city bikes and equipment. Visitors will be informed about driving safety, nutrition, recommendable bike tours and bike events.

The series of open air concerts, now in its 16th edition, offers musical highlights from around the globe. It is one of Italy's most important world music festivals and features an atmospheric setting around the water lily pond.

The Merano music weeks offer visitors each year the chance to hear outstanding classical music concerts, mostly in the evocative Art Nouveau atmosphere of the Merano Kurhaus.

Palio fin August 2023 of the Burggrafenamt municipalities on the horse racing course of Meran

An equestrian event with a derby atmosphere: the fifth "Palio des Burggrafenamtes" between the municipalities surrounding Meran sees the various team allotted horses, then competing in races both Haflinger mounts and thoroughbreds. South Tyrolean specialities and cultural performances round off the thrilling race action.

The Gran Premio Meran South Tyrol is the best-known, most lucrative and most prestigious steeplechase in Italy. The brightly decorated racecourse will host competing stables and jockeys from various European countries. 

Meran Grape Festival Oktober 2023

The Merano Grape Festival is a highly traditional harvest festival, whose high point is the annual parade with local bands and decorated floats. Numerous concerts and food stalls provide entertainment and mouth-watering treats along the Passer Promenade.

Wine tasting in November 2023 in Algund

From 7.00 pm in the Peter Thalguter house in Algund there are tasted over 250 different sparkling wines, red wines, white wines, sweet wines from Italy and the rest of the world. There are also offered culinary delicacies.
